The mission of the Wu Tsai Institute (WTI) at Yale University is to understand human cognition and explore human potential by sparking interdisciplinary inquiry. This new neuroscience initiative is bringing together researchers across levels of analysis, from molecules and cells, to circuits and systems, to brains and behavior. These levels are integrated through computational frameworks that enable advanced data analysis and new models of cognition. Given the potential of real-time neurofeedback as an innovative approach for studying and training cognition, WTI is excited to serve as primary sponsor of rtFIN2022. Funding from WTI is being used to increase access and inclusion at rtFIN2022, including by offsetting part of the registration cost for students, postdocs, and those with financial hardship.

The Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging at Yale School of Medicine, home of the Yale Magnetic Resonance Research Center (MRRC), brings together experts in neuroscience, MR physics, spectroscopy, positron emission tomography, image processing, and machine learning, to develop and apply advanced bioimaging techniques for basic science and clinical research. These include novel approaches for monitoring adaptations in human brain function that occur at the molecular, cellular, regional and systems levels during neurofeedback learning. The MRRC has real-time imaging capacity for training regional activity, focal connectivity patterns, and whole brain connectomics on three research dedicated Siemens scanners. We are delighted to support rtFIN 2022 and these exciting new research directions of neurofeedback and real-time imaging.
