Session proposal guidelines

  • Proposals may include symposia (3-4 speakers covering a coherent topic of relevance to the rtFIN community), debates (moderator and 2-4 participants having a conversation about a hot topic in the rtFIN community), or teaching/training workshops

  • Other types of sessions may also be submitted (using “other” on the dropdown menu)

  • Sessions can range from 1 hour to 2 hours – both the optimal length and an acceptable range of lengths will need to be specified

  • Proposals should be a maximum of 2 pages with 12pt font and 1” margins. The format must be PDF.

  • Proposals should clearly describe the session (including a timeline of speakers if relevant) and explain why this session will be of interest to the rtFIN community. Proposals should also include the overall session and individual speaker summaries.

  • For teaching/training workshops, please indicate if training will be hands-on and if so, if any equipment/resources will be needed, and if there is a limit to the number of participants that will work.

  • A corresponding author must be available to answer questions

  • In addition to the proposal itself, session proposal submissions will require:

    • participant names, affiliations, and any potential conflicts of interest (COI)

    • email address of the corresponding author

    • the optimal length of time to allocate for the session

    • range of lengths of time that can be made to work for the session
